This is no different than talking to people in different real-life situations.
The same commonsense and polite behavior applies and, after conferring with several of the bloggers I respect and trust the most, I found that most people felt the same way.

But then I sat down and thought about the core issue here — how to talk to people in different social settings — and it hit me.

And like most other topics I’ll discuss here, I’ve already made so many of the big mistakes that I feel comfortable speaking from a place of what to do, as well as talking about what might be better to try.
